The crumble is dense and velvety, with that deep mature bite that lingers just long enough before the caramel notes kick in. I've had a lot of Red Leicester over the years, but this one clearly earned its awards.

The caramel sweetness comes through so clearly on the first bite, but there's this deep, nutty finish that keeps you going back for more. My only regret is not buying a bigger wedge, because this vintage Red Leicester is dangerously easy to snack on.

Opened this after a long week and the caramel sweetness hit me right away—so much deeper than your standard cheddar. The crumble is perfect for a cheese board, and it lingers on the palate just long enough to make you go back for another slice.
