Pasangan yang lezat untuk keju keras dan pâté, selai yang kaya, beraroma buah, dan harum ini – juga dikenal sebagai membrillo – dibuat dari quince Valencia pilihan, gula, dan tidak lebih dari itu.
We had it with manchego last night and the quince sweetness was exactly the balance we needed. It's just quinces and sugar, so the fruit taste comes through clean and bright. Definitely going to keep a spare 140g bar on hand for cheese nights.
I've been slicing this quince paste thin to go alongside some aged manchego, and the rich, aromatic sweetness cuts through the salt perfectly. It's just quince and sugar, exactly as it says, which makes it taste incredibly pure.
The texture is dense and sliceable, which makes it perfect for cutting thin squares to lay over a sharp Manchego. Only quince and sugar in the ingredient list, and you can really taste that simple, pure fruitiness.
