La Higuera, een familiebedrijf in het dorp Almoharín in het zuidwesten van Spanje, maakt deze delicate bonbons van lokaal geteelde Pajarero-vijgen – een specialiteit uit de regio Extremadura. Bij deze decadente zoete lekkernijen wordt elke vijg gevuld met een rijke truffel van chocolade en gezouten karamel, waarna ze worden omhuld met melkchocolade.
The salted caramel inside is so smooth it practically melts the moment it hits your tongue, and the fig’s natural sweetness balances it perfectly. I ordered these as a treat for myself and they’re gone way too fast.
The Pajarero figs are so soft and jammy, and the salted caramel cuts through the sweetness just right. I wasn’t expecting them to feel this fresh, like they were just made in that Spanish village. A whole box disappeared in two days.
The caramel inside is perfectly gooey, and the fig itself has that nice natural chew without being overly sticky. These taste like something from a small village patisserie, not a mass-produced candy box. I've already ordered another batch.
