Handgjord i Strasbourg, denna delikat smaksatta gelé med Gewurztraminer – en aromatisk Alsace-eau-de-vie – är en härlig kombination till paté, ostar och charkuterier.
The Gewurztraminer eau-de-vie comes through beautifully—it’s floral and just sweet enough to stand up to a strong blue cheese without overpowering it. Opened the jar for a cheese board and ended up finishing half of it straight off the spoon.
I spread it on a slice of aged Comté last night and the Gewurztraminer really comes through without being too sweet. It’s got that lovely jelly texture too, almost delicate, and it made the cheese plate feel way more special than it had any right to.
The wine-soaked aroma hits you right when you pop the lid, perfect for spooning over a sharp aged cheddar. It's got that subtle sweetness that doesn't overpower the cheese, and it melts nicely at room temperature.
